Presented by UBC’s Museum of Anthropology, Claiming Space: Voices of Urban Aboriginal Youth is a thought-provoking exhibition of contemporary art viewed through the lens of Indigenous youth, aged 15 – 25, on display from June 1, 2014 to January 4, 2015. Curated by MOA’s Pam Brown, with Curatorial Assistant Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, this wide-ranging collection of powerful, radical artworks examines the ways in which Aboriginal youth identify with their environment – both in urban spaces and ancestral territories.
