Kristie McCracken is best known for singing and playing guitar in Vancouver R&B group the Ponderosas, but she is getting ready to put out her first solo album, Let Go & Grow. She’ll celebrate her personal and professional milestone with a show at the Alexander on Saturday, May 30, along with dance pop musician CHERSEA.
Let Go & Grow was produced by Patrick Quine, member of local reggae outfit Natural Flavas and founder of Watson Unlimited Music. The album also features a song she co-wrote with three-time Grammy-winner Chin Injeti. Songs like “Lullaby” are heavily Latin-influenced while others drip with the soul she’s made her signature.
