When Saints Go Machine decided to follow-up their unexpectedly awesome collaboration with Southern rapper Killer Mike with this captivating new video for “Iodine”.  As the singer’s ethereal vocals mix and mutate with the cold, mechanical nature of the beat, the band’s enigmatic name begins to make sense.  The melody strains through the clutter of the off-kilter drum patterns, and the layers of sound echo and build off of each other in a haunting cacophony.  In the video, which looks amazing in 1080p, we see a lone figure plumbing the depths of the earth in search of iodine, an essential element for life.  What he finds is a cavernous universe unto itself that glows with a luminescent beauty.
