Army of Sass is back with Snow White

The Army of Sass (AOS) is back and literally bigger than ever with this season’s performance featuring an astounding 200 women. Having performed last as a Saturday night featured act at the Taboo: The Naughty But Nice Sex Show, this time around the AOS is back ‘home’, at Celebrities Nightclub. Though the infamous Lounge on Davie Street plays host to all of the seasonal performances by the rapidly growing legion of women, one aspect that changes show-by-show is the dancer playing the featured role. With Snow White portrayed by the moves capable of Monica Gutierrez, there are going to be some hot collars in The West End March 30-April 01.

For those familiar with the Lovers Cabaret, specifically From Bond With Love then they would know Gutierrez by the hotty that made an appearance in almost every number. Even if not the focus of the routine, whenever a group dance ensues Gutierrez would stand out by her sassy shimmies and unmistakable hip rolls.

The Lovers Cabaret production coordinator is joined by potentially the most widely loved alternative dancer in the city, Portia Favro. In the role of the Evil Queen, one must imagine that like George Costanza (from Seinfeld finding dating success by doing the opposite of what his gut tells him to do), Favro assumes the role by acting against her every instinct.

Fresh off of starring as Cindy Lou Who in the winter season’s AOS feature of The Grinch, the prevailing beauty of Chelsea Hartwick once again brings the light with the heat to the production of Snow White as Mother Nature.

If history has taught us that at some point in a family lineage they were given the name Carpenter due to their carpentry profession, or Taylors were once Tailors than we need not explain the surname of Jojo Dancer.

The Harbour Dance and lone male AOS dance instructor Dancer, essays the role of The Mirror in the Disney classic tale; as reimagined in heels style dance.

With the moves out of this Snow White making many in the crowd feeling Bashful, the always Happy AOS teacher Gutierrez has no time for Lazy or Sneezy, but if you are Grumpy than Army of Sass Presents: Snow White is just what the Doc ordered.
