The Asian-influenced cocktail menu is filled with unique “remedies” that is perfect in combination with the cool candle-lit interior. Its décor is unusually cute and makes for a quirky experience as it resembles medical supplies with an oriental flair. The Dim Sum offering here costs $7. The two-for-one tapas is available from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
This cajun inspired seafood house has locations in Kitsilano and Coal Harbour. Chewies has a unique passion for oysters and is a staple for Vancouverites. Servers here are always energetic and the seafood is fresh as it is a stones throw away from the Pacific Ocean. Chewies bar also offers delicious craft beers that pair wonderfully with their famous southern biscuit. Late night happy hour “Buck-a-Shuck” is available at both locations after 9:00 PM. Fresh British Columbian raw oysters cost $1.50 and the Premium selection costs $2.25. Not quite only a dollar, but definitely ideal for a night out on a budget.
The Warehouse is located in the Granville District and is the place for a good time and great value on a girls night out. The popular location leads to long wait times. Good thing there is plenty to keep you occupied in the lively area. The interior brick wall and décor is rustic and feels a little rough around the edges. The sports playing on the Televisions add to a grungy yet cozy hangout experience. Its famous main attraction is their all-day set-price menu for $5.95. Burgers, Mac n Cheese, Spaghetti, you name it. All the food here is $5.95. Cheap comfort food aside, the cocktails with suggestive names such as “Tropical Foreplay” are available for $6.95.
