The 2016 Latin American Week will start on July 1st with the Canada Day Parade, featuring a White Salsa Cruise, First Nation and Latin American Art Exhibition, Latin American Film Festival and Culminating with Carnaval del Sol.
Carnaval del Sol is a free two day demonstration of Latin culture with the first free Culinary Show that reunites 16 chefs to fuse the cuisine of Latin America and Canada. Peruvian food will be the centre of the show and chefs from Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia will be participating on this show. Latin American food vendors will be also available during the whole event.
As a pledge for diversity and inclusion we are presenting a Canadian Latin American-inspired fashion show and a ‘World Mini Cup Series’ soccer tournament with Latin American Consulates & Diplomats in the opening date. Sign your team here
300 artists counting musicians, dancers, canvas artists, magicians, puppeteers reunited in Carnaval del Sol, showing talents in Main Stage and all over the venue.
25 Live musical bands. Traditional folk dancers from different countries, Zumba and Capoeira performers, Belly Dance dancers and salsa lessons.
Special activities for kids Mini Chef, Kids Spa, Arts and Crafts, shows for kids like Yoyo, magicians, puppets and much, much more.
