Vancouver Folk Music Festival Returns


The 38th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival is returning to Jericho Beach Park and will be featuring an eclectic assortment of musical acts.

Don’t let the name fool you. There is no one particular genre that truly defines this unique musical experience. You will hear everything from Jewish roots and Turkish blues to folk popgrass, Latin funk, and everything in between.

Here are a few highlights to get you in the mood:

Hawksley Workman

Canadian rock singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman is scheduled to perform on Friday, July 17 at 7:40pm on the Main Stage.



Matthew Houck who goes by the moniker ‘Phosphorescent’ will be performng on Sunday, July 19 at 8:05pm on the Main Stage.


The Strumbellas

The Strumbellas are set to perform on Saturday, July 18 at 6pm on Stage 3.


Jasper Sloan Yip

Jasper Sloan Yip will be peforming at a number of workshops throughout the festival.
