Warning: Acid Fuzz May Cause Seizures
The first video off Toxic Holocaust’s Chemistry of Consciousness, for their song “Acid Fuzz”, will melt your brain. It’s total chaos. It’s a laundry list of badass-isms – knives, needles, skulls, monsters, automatic weapons – bombarding your face. All you can do is stare. The whole video is animated, so the zeal for gore emits playfulness instead of the intention to shock. It lets you know these guys are just messing around and having fun. This isn’t meant to be taken seriously.
There’s no continuity here. For example, in a random scene, a gang of demon skeletons in space fly towards a cluster of clouds labeled “Heaven”. Essentially, space-skeleton suicide-bombers blow up Heaven. Like I said, this video is total chaos. Scenes are interrupted by melting colours and rippin’ riffs. A metal soundtrack to a psychedelic video. It’s almost too much to handle. Sensory overload, for sure. There should be some sort of disclaimer before the video starts for those prone to seizures. I’m serious. It really is that intense.
