Doors at 9 p.m. Buy tickets         Blackie & The Rodeo Kings with Harlan Pepper, Exene Cervenka, Matt Andersen and Amy Helm November 27 at the Vogue Theatre BARK roll into town on their Kings and Queens Tour, in support of their hit collaborative album of the same name. Formed in 1996 as an expected one-off project by Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson, the trio have been going strong since and have gained even more momentum with their latest starlet-studded release featuring Roseanne Cash, Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams, and many more. Doors at 7 p.m. Show at 8 p.m. Buy tickets   Poor Young Things with Tim Chaisson November 29 at the Pit Pub (UBC) Thunder Bay, Ontario natives and noodle aficionados Poor Young Things bring their little big city rock sounds to UBC on Thursday. Now living together under one roof in North York, the Things are looking to make their mark on the Canadian rock scene. Tim Chaisson, fresh off the September release of his latest album The Other Side (produced by Colin Linden), will open things up. You can win tickets right here. Doors at 8 p.m. Show at 9 p.m. Buy tickets   Death Grips with guests November 30 at Fortune Sound Club Death Grips is in town on Friday. The experimental hip hop ensemble featuring magnetic vocalist Stefan “MC Ride” Burnett and crack production team Zach Hill and Andy “Flatlander” Morin. Signing to Epic Records earlier this year, the group was promptly dropped from on November 1 after bypassing the label and self-releasing their sophomore effort No Love Deep Web online, not wanting to wait until 2013 to release the album as the label wanted. Doors at 7 p.m. Buy tickets       Bison with The Rock Band Called Time, Erosion, Car 87 December 1 at the Rickshaw Theatre presented by Live at Rickshaw and Nothing Is Heavy The Bison boys are back and as brutal as ever. Their latest album Lovelessness, released in October of this year on Metal Blade Records, has been garnering positive reviews across the board and reaffirming the band as one of the Canadian music scene’s best and brightest.
