The prolific Kidjo has released twelve acclaimed albums during her long and celebrated career including her latest,Spirit Rising. Singing in English and French as well as Fon and Yorùbá from her native West Africa, Kidjo draws inspiration from Afropop, Caribbean zouk, Congolese rumba, jazz, gospel, and Latin styles. She has collaborated with many popular recording artists including Carlos Santana, Peter Gabriel, and Alicia Keys.

  1. I would love to see Angelique Kidjo’s concert on Oct. 13th at the Chan Shun Concert Hall. I lived in her home country of Benin for two years and have been listening to her music since the late 1980’s. She is an inspiring musician and women who continues to create beautiful works of art through her voice and words.
