Cirque du Soleil – Amaluna Concord Pacific Place Showing until January 13th 2013 World renowned Quebec based circus troupe Cirque du Soleil bring their newest show Amaluna to Vancouver! Attempting to instill values in her daughter that were passed on by her own mother, Prospera finds it to be far more difficult than she had anticipated when a ship becomes wrecked on the island’s shore and Miranda falls deeply in love with a handsome member of its’ crew. Based on Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest”, this is Cirque du Soleil’s first ever show to contain a narrative, and is a definite must see! See here for tickets. Santaland Diaries Revue Stage November 22–December 22 Popular comedian David Sedaris is in Vancouver with his for adults-ears-only tales from his tour as an elf in department store giant Macy’s Santaland. His diary contains blunt, outrageously hilarious accounts including entries such as “Cash Register Elf” and “Vomit Corner Elf”, which are certain to have his audience in fits of laughter! See here for tickets.       It’s a Wonderful Life Granville Island Stage November 26 to December 29 George Bailey has become a little distracted from what truly matters in life. All is restored however when his guardian angel helps him back on track, reminding him that due to family, faith and hope – he is a blessed man and life is absolutely wonderful! Based on the film that was dubbed the  “Most Inspirational American Film of all Time”, Artsclub Theatre Company bring  It’s a Wonderful Life to Vancouver this week! See here for tickets.     White Christmas – The Musical Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage November 29 to December 23 Most certainly signaling the beginning of the Holiday Season, White Christmas is coming to Vancouver this coming Thursday! Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are great army buddies who partook in World War II. They have just become extremely successful song and dance team when they meet up with two beautiful sisters Betty and Judy Haynes. Including musical numbers such as “Blue Skies,” “Sisters,” and the ever-popular “White Christmas”, this show promises to instill the Christmas spirit in each and every audience member present!
