This Philly-based foursome grew up on the late 80s/90s era of rock, and their list of influences includes My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, the Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana. But what sets them apart from almost every other band is that a few of those big name influencers (such as Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic) are fans of their work. Bleeding Rainbow’s video for “Waking Dream” has the splashes of colour and bits of trippiness that their name and song title suggests, served with sunny side up guitars and boy-girl harmonies evocative of the Mamas and Papas.
