Corrections House is a coming-together of members from Neurosis, Eyehategod, Yakuza, and Nachtmystium, which, if you know your metal, should have you pinching yourself hard enough to draw blood. Their latest entry is “Grin With A Purpose”, featuring disembodied, stream-of-conscious lyrics that slowly progress into a screaming distortion. The entire video is a slow burn that methodically ratchets up the claustrophobia and sense of foreboding as you are surrounded by a crushing wall of sound. The video’s obscured and covered faces give it an otherworldly, nightmarish quality that only heightens the palpable aura of doom emanating from the aural abyss known as Corrections House.
