Earl Sweatshirt is one of the most lyrical rappers to come out in the last few years, hailing from the Odd Future collective that includes Tyler, the Creator and R&B crooner Frank Ocean. Despite his slow, laidback flow, he can pack more rhymes in a single line than most rappers’ entire songs. “Hive” is the first single off his highly anticipated major label debut, Doris, which drops Aug. 20th. The video is dark and full of a surreal eeriness where wallpaper moves, people wear creepy masks, and monsters lurk in the shadows.
