The new video for “Stylin” features a couple of Canadian hiphop heavyweights having fun over some funky basslines. The first single off of Shad’s upcoming Flying Colours album finds the Juno award-winning, SFU grad teaming up with fellow MC Saukrates, to touch on everything from his Kenyan roots and using chopsticks, to East Van and the NDP. Shad clearly loves rhyming, and watching the video, it’s hard not to get caught up in his unbridled enthusiasm. Armed with his quick wit and verbal skills, it’s easy to see why he’s poised to be Canada’s next hiphop star.
