The D.O.T. “Blood, Sweat and Tears”

The D.O.T. is what happens when two prominent and respected UK musicians from wildly disparate genres come together to make music for its own sake.  Comprised of Mike Skinner, better known as the rapper/producer from the alt-hiphop outfit The Streets, and Rob Harvey, the frontman for the alt-rock band The Music, The D.O.T. is already making waves in the music scene with their debut and sophomore albums, which come only six months apart. “Blood, Sweat and Tears” is the second single off their second album, Diary, and features a traditionally clothed Jesus trying to avoid capture by Roman Legionnaires in modern day London.  Harvey’s plaintive wails over Skinner’s hiphop drums creates an ear-pleasing juxtaposition that, combined with the soulful brass section, leaves you hoping for a part two.
