The Howlin’ Brothers are a trio of multi-instrumentalists who between them play the banjo, fiddle, harmonica, mandolin, and upright bass (AKA bass violin), along with the more conventional guitar. These Nashville natives are continuing the tradition of Music City with their old time country blues in their new video for “Big Time”, fittingly shot in black and white. The song was produced by Brendan Benson (of The Raconteurs), and with an eclectic mix of styles that combines everything from bluegrass Americana to Dixieland jazz, it’s clear that The Howlin’ Brothers care only about the groove.
