The brand new video for “Demons” is our first glimpse into The National’s feverishly anticipated new album, Trouble Will Find Me, coming out May 21st. It’s been three long years since High Violet, but the band is picking up right where they left off with Matt Berninger’s moody baritone and introspective lyrics, combined with their trademark melancholic melody. The 7/7 time signature gives the song’s rhythm an interesting syncopation that matches the video’s black-and-white time lapse recording of artist Azar Kazimir drawing the album’s cover art on a chalkboard.
